You don’t need to know whether the fault is in the aerial, amplifier or cable. Tell us which rooms have lost the picture and when it happens. We’ll work through the system with a meter. We’ve spent 25 years doing this across Finchley and North London, and we keep serviceable equipment working.
Planning something new? Tell us about the property and how you want to use it. We install aerials, satellite, CCTV, wall-mounted televisions and Starlink equipment. Call 0800 206 2385 free, Mon–Sat 8am–7pm. We offer same-day service where possible and a clear price before work starts.
1. TV aerial installation: a new feed, properly measured
Choose this when you need an aerial for a new home, a replacement for failed equipment or a planned feed to several rooms. We test reception before choosing the aerial and mounting position. Crystal Palace is our starting point across much of North London; we check the Alexandra Palace relay where the site calls for it.
On Victorian terraces, we inspect chimney lashings and the stack before using an existing mount. We plan the cable route, use WF100 cable where appropriate and test each agreed outlet. Loft aerials need testing through the roof materials. Foil-backed insulation can rule out a position that looks convenient.
2. Aerial repair: keep the working parts
Choose repair when an existing aerial system has stopped delivering a reliable picture. We check connections, cable condition, splitters and amplifier supplies. We measure before replacing anything. A corroded joint does not justify throwing away a working aerial.
A typical terrace fault we investigate is picture breakup after rain. Water enters a poorly sealed outdoor connection and damages the coax. We trace the affected cable, check the aerial separately and repair the failed parts. We then test the signal at the television point so the repair is checked end to end.
3. TV fault-finding: when the cause is unclear
Choose fault-finding when one screen works and another does not, channels disappear intermittently or you have already tried new leads without success. Tell us which channels fail and whether weather or time of day changes things. Leave the tuning alone until we have checked the feed.
We compare MER/BER meter readings and signal levels through the system to find where quality drops. We also check overload and 4G/5G interference from mobile masts. We fit a suitable filter when testing establishes interference. Adding a booster to an untested feed can make reception worse.
4. Freeview: channels, tuning and extra TV points
Choose Freeview support for missing channels, a new television setup or another viewing point. We check the available broadcasts and signal at the socket, then tune the receiver. Relay transmitters carry a different channel selection from the main transmitter, so we explain what your installation receives.
We can run another feed to a bedroom or kitchen and check the distribution has enough signal for it. For compatible Freeview Play sets, we help with catch-up setup too. Broadcast channels use the aerial; apps need a working internet connection and any required accounts.
5. Satellite installation: Sky and Freesat feeds
Choose satellite work for a new dish, a dish that has moved, a relocation or a receiver change. We check alignment, the LNB and cable condition. Give us the box model when you call: Sky Q and Freesat equipment need the correct LNB and distribution arrangement.
We assess the view towards the satellites and agree the cable route. Trees, scaffolding and new building work can block an established dish position. In Hampstead or Highgate conservation areas, check permission for external changes before installation. We can discuss a discreet position during the survey.

6. Communal aerials: one building, several homes
Choose communal support when you manage a shared aerial or dish, several flats lose reception, or a block needs its distribution upgraded. We work with landlords and managing agents to arrange access to the roof, equipment cupboards and flats needed for testing.
A typical mansion-block investigation starts with two reports: one flat has no channels and another has a good picture. We compare outlets and follow their branches back through the distribution. That helps separate a local cable fault from a shared equipment failure. Bring us the residents’ reports before authorising replacement equipment.
7. CCTV installation: start with a free site survey
Choose CCTV when you need to see entrances, vehicles, deliveries or movement around your building. We offer free CCTV site surveys. Walk us through the areas that concern you. We check camera angles, night-time lighting, recording needs and cable routes, then give you a fixed written quote.
An overview camera and a camera positioned to capture faces do different jobs. We plan both views where needed. We check for glare, deep porches and blind spots at side gates. On terraces, we pay particular attention to neighbouring windows and shared access paths.
We agree storage and access to recordings, set up phone viewing and show you how to retrieve footage. We secure accounts and discuss privacy masking. Recording beyond your boundary brings responsibilities; we explain the practical setup and point you towards guidance. The handover includes using the recorder, not just watching a live picture.
8. TV wall mounting: check what is behind the plaster
Choose wall mounting when you want a secure screen at the right viewing height with a planned cable route. We check the wall construction, television weight and bracket. Brick, plasterboard and older lath-and-plaster walls need different fixing decisions.
Tell us about soundbars, consoles and the sockets you need to reach. We agree cable concealment before drilling and explain any separate electrical or decorating work needed. We leave access for connections so changing a lead does not become a major job.
9. Starlink installation: find the clear sky view
Choose Starlink installation when you have compatible kit and need it mounted securely with the cable routed into the property. Tell us the kit version before the visit. We assess obstructions from trees, roofs and chimney stacks and agree the mounting position with you.
We plan cable entry and the route to your router, then check the installed equipment with you. Starlink needs a broad sky view; a gap between two buildings can still leave obstructions. Arrange your service account separately and get permission for external work on rented or shared property.
