We install customer-owned Starlink equipment on suitable mounts, with protected cabling and a practical handover. Around The Broadway and towards Highgate Wood, discretion matters as much as access. We explain the options and any permission checks before you decide whether to proceed. Your subscription stays under your control.
Looking above the trees, not towards Alexandra Palace
Alexandra Palace is a familiar landmark, but it is not the target for this installation. Starlink uses satellites moving across the sky. We assess a broad field of view using the app's obstruction tool, rather than looking for the narrow path that might suit a conventional satellite dish.
Near Highgate Wood, foliage can occupy a substantial part of that field. We compare candidate positions and explain any remaining obstruction. A test on a garden table cannot confirm what the roof will see; equally, moving the terminal higher is only worthwhile when the improved view justifies a safe, supportable mounting arrangement.

Conservation details belong in the first conversation
Many Muswell Hill terraces and mansion flats fall within conservation controls. We discuss visibility from the street, the proposed fixing surface and any protected features before drilling is considered. An unobtrusive rear position can be worth investigating, but we will not choose it if the satellite view is unsuitable.
You should establish whether planning consent, listed-building consent or landlord approval is needed for your address. We can describe the physical proposal so those enquiries are specific. For a flat, permission to occupy the home does not necessarily include permission to attach equipment to the roof or run cables over shared walls.

An Edwardian chimney is not automatically a ready-made support
Chimneys can offer useful height, but brick condition and the loads from the proposed assembly decide whether they are appropriate. We examine accessible masonry and existing hardware, checking compatibility with your terminal generation. An old aerial pole is not accepted simply because it has stayed upright until now.
Longer poles add leverage, especially on exposed rooflines. We consider bracket spacing, stand-off and manufacturer requirements as a complete arrangement. If the building needs repairs or specialist access, we identify that before installation. We do not make unstable brickwork disappear beneath a new bracket or promise roof work in unsuitable weather.

Choose the indoor destination before making the hole
A cable entering the nearest bedroom may leave the router nowhere near the rooms you use. We walk through the intended route with you, including the transition from the outside wall to the indoor equipment. On a tall terrace, avoiding unnecessary bends and keeping connectors accessible takes planning.
We allow for the connector dimensions, support exposed cable and seal the entry against weather. Cable must not be trapped beneath a closing sash or draped across a shared stair. Existing holes are assessed rather than assumed useful. Starlink requires its appropriate power-and-data cable; a spare television coaxial lead cannot take its place.
Separate satellite interruptions from weak room coverage
A connection that drops throughout the house needs a different investigation from a bedroom that cannot reach Wi-Fi. We look at terminal status and obstruction information before blaming the internal network. Repeated reboots will not remove a tree from the sky view, and a new mount will not carry Wi-Fi through every thick wall.
For mansion flats or homes spread over several floors, we discuss where the main router can work effectively. Compatible mesh equipment or wired links may be useful, depending on your kit and layout. We establish the scope with you rather than presenting whole-house coverage as an automatic consequence of fitting the terminal.
Already installed, but not behaving properly?
Tell us whether the problem started after moving the kit, building work or a change in the garden. We can assess an existing installation, including one fitted by somebody else. We inspect cable condition, connector seating and the mounting position, while using the app information to guide the next checks.
Some faults belong with Starlink support or the account rather than the bracket. We explain that distinction before suggesting physical changes. Where relocation is sensible, we agree the replacement route and how redundant fixings or entries will be dealt with. Do not climb up to photograph a connector; ground-level pictures are enough to start.

A checked installation and a straightforward booking
Before handover we review the fixings, outside cable supports and weather sealing, then check connection through your account. We show you the app status and explain that obstruction reporting develops after setup. A speed test is a snapshot, not a promise about future speeds, network demand or every corner of your home.
