Our N20 coverage includes semis, High Road mansion flats and larger homes towards Totteridge. We inspect before specifying the mount, explain any obstruction concerns and agree exactly what the installation includes. Buying a subscription is separate from arranging the physical work; you keep control of your Starlink service.
Start by telling us where the connection matters
We ask which rooms need service, whether you use a wired computer and where indoor equipment could sit. In an extended semi, the front hallway might be convenient for cable entry but a poor router location for a rear office. Planning the destination first gives us a sensible brief for the rest of the installation.
For a larger Totteridge home, we distinguish the satellite connection from the network needed to distribute it. Several floors, substantial walls and long corridors can require more than one wireless point. We discuss that separately, so a quote for mounting the terminal is not mistaken for a promise of whole-house Wi-Fi coverage.
Trees around N20 change the outdoor decision
Near Totteridge Lane and Swan Lane Open Space, surrounding greenery deserves attention during the survey. We use the Starlink obstruction assessment at candidate mounting positions and consider branches as well as buildings. A terminal set on a garden table can be useful for an initial trial without proving that a permanent low-level location is suitable.
The equipment needs a broad view because the satellites move. We do not aim it towards Crystal Palace or judge it by an existing Sky dish. If trees occupy the required view, we compare practical alternatives and explain limitations. We cannot remove an obstruction problem by changing router settings inside the house.

A secure support is more important than maximum height
We identify the terminal version before choosing adapters and brackets. We then assess the proposed fixing surface, the load and the exposure. A long pole above a detached roof puts additional leverage into its support; it needs a properly considered arrangement, not simply a larger collection of clamps on an old aerial mast.
Where a chimney or wall shows deterioration, we explain why it may be unsuitable. We also check whether access can be achieved safely around extensions, sloping ground or glazed roofs. The plan may require specialist access or a different mounting position. Those decisions belong before the work, not halfway through lifting the kit.
Route the correct cable without spoiling finished rooms
We walk through the cable proposal with you, including outside clipping, the wall penetration and the router end. Connector dimensions matter when choosing a hole or an existing route. We avoid tight turns, unsupported sections and places where doors or maintenance work could crush the lead. External entry points receive appropriate weatherproofing.
In a decorated house, we explain where surface cable will show rather than promising invisible work without inspecting. A spare television cable is not a substitute for the specified Starlink connection. If the proposed distance exceeds the suitable cable arrangement for your kit, we discuss a compliant alternative instead of improvising unsupported joins.

High Road flats need an agreed external route
A mansion flat may have a clear view above the block but no authorised route from the roof to the dwelling. We establish who manages the building and ask you to secure permission for the proposed installation. Shared stairs, roof hatches and service spaces require access arrangements, and communal safety provisions must be respected.
For houses subject to conservation controls or listed status, external alterations need checking before any fixing is made. We flag the issue and discuss the proposed appearance, but permission remains a separate requirement. A terminal that is difficult to see from the pavement can still be subject to restrictions or lease conditions.
Separate an internet dropout from weak room coverage
If you already have Starlink, tell us whether every device disconnects together or only a particular room struggles. App warnings, visible cable damage and the existing mounting position give us useful starting information. We inspect the physical installation before deciding whether relocation, cable attention or indoor networking is the relevant next step.
A typical job here: a router beside the front entrance connects normally, while a computer behind several walls loses Wi-Fi. We compare connectivity nearer the router and discuss Ethernet or suitable access points for the study. Moving the outdoor terminal would not address that indoor path, so we keep the recommendation tied to the actual problem.
Know what the completed work demonstrates
We check the terminal support, cable protection and sealed entry, then confirm that the system connects using your account. Where included, we test indoor service at the agreed locations. We show you the app status and explain that its obstruction history needs time to develop after setup; an immediate screen is not a long-term performance record.
No installer can guarantee a particular broadband speed regardless of network demand or plan. We explain those limits and identify the physical work we have carried out. Compatible Ethernet connections and any adapters are checked against the kit generation. Your service payments and account settings remain yours to manage after our handover.
